Tips

Keeping a framed code scannable

  • Leave a clear margin around the code. A frame that touches it can stop it scanning.
  • Keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background is the safest choice.
  • Print a test at the real size and scan it from the distance people will stand.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Will my QR code still scan inside a frame?

Yes, as long as the frame keeps a clear margin around the code and a strong contrast between the code and its background. Print a test and scan it from the distance people will use.

How is this different from the design & print tools?

The design & print tools are built for one job each, such as a review card or a table tent. Templates are general frames you adapt to any link.

Do the codes track scans?

No. They are static codes that open your link directly. Read why we don’t track scans.
