QR code print preview
See how big your QR code really is on a business card, flyer, menu or poster before you print — with a scan-distance check and an actual-size test page.
Your design
How to use the print preview
Choose where the code will be printed, set its width and see it on a mockup built at the real paper size. The preview shows how much of the page the code takes, how far away it will scan and how large each module is on paper.
The actual-size test page prints your code at exactly the chosen width, so you can hold it at the intended distance and test it with real phones before committing to a print run.
Getting an accurate preview
- Print the test page at 100% scale, with page scaling turned off.
- Measure the printed code with a ruler to confirm the size.
- Scan from the typical distance for that placement, not from arm's length.
- Pick a larger size if the verdict shows a warning.
Questions, answered
Is the preview really to scale?
Yes. Each mockup uses the real paper size (for example 85 × 55 mm for a business card) and your code is drawn at the size you choose, so you see its true proportion to the page. The layout around it is a simple placeholder, not your artwork.
How do I check the real printed size?
Press Print actual-size test, print at 100% scale (turn off “fit to page”) and measure the printed code. Then scan it from the typical distance with two phones.
What size should I choose?
Use the recommendation under the slider: it combines the 10:1 distance rule with a minimum printable module size for your content. See the size calculator for custom distances.
Can I upload my own design?
Not yet. Download the code as PNG or SVG and place it in your design tool at the size shown here.
Is my link uploaded?
No. Everything is drawn in your browser.
