QR code health report
One score for everything that decides whether a printed QR code scans: contrast, size, density, logo, error correction and distance.

Health report
Enter a link or upload a code to see your report.
This report is an estimate from the settings you enter and the 10:1 scanning rule of thumb. It can't replace scanning a printed sample with real phones.
How to read your QR code health score
The score combines the things that decide whether a printed code scans: contrast, density, error correction, logo size, printed module size and scan distance. Failing checks are listed first with a concrete fix, and any failure caps the score below 70 so a risky code never looks ready.
Treat it as a pre-flight check. It is built from the same rules of thumb used across BestQR, such as the 10:1 distance rule and a minimum printable module size, and it cannot see your paper, ink or lighting.
How to improve your score
- Fix red items first: contrast, inverted colours and oversized logos matter most.
- Shorten the link if the code is dense; it lifts several checks at once.
- Set the real printed width and scan distance for an accurate result.
- Scan a printed sample with two phones before the full run.
Questions, answered
What does the health report check?
Contrast between code and background, whether the colors are inverted, how dense the code is, whether error correction suits your logo, logo size, printed module size, scan distance against the 10:1 rule, and common link problems such as http, spaces or private addresses.
How is the score calculated?
Each check has a weight. Passed checks cost nothing, warnings cost part of their weight and failures cost all of it. Any failing check caps the score at 69 so a risky code never looks "ready".
Can it read colors from my image?
Yes. When you upload a picture of a code, it estimates the code and background colors from the darkest and lightest areas. Check them and set the error-correction level, logo size and printed size to match your design.
Is my image or link uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser. The share link stores your settings in the address itself, not on a server.
Is a high score a guarantee?
No. Printing, materials, lighting and phones all vary. Always scan a printed sample with two different phones before a full print run.
