UTM QR code generator
Add campaign tags to your link and build the code in one step. See which flyer, poster or table brings in scans — in the analytics you already use.

Design
See which placement actually works
A printed QR code is invisible to analytics until it carries a campaign tag. UTM parameters make every scan show up in your analytics tool with a name you chose.
Name the placement
Use a different source or content value for each flyer, poster or table.
Generate the code
The tags are added to your link before the code is built, so it stays a plain static code.
Read the results
In Google Analytics and similar tools, scans appear under the source, medium and campaign you set.
What UTM parameters add to a QR code
UTM parameters are labels added to the end of a link: source, medium, campaign, term and content. When someone scans the code and lands on your page, analytics tools such as Google Analytics read the labels and attribute the visit to that placement.
Because the labels are part of the link, the QR code stays static: BestQR doesn't track scans, and nothing depends on a redirect service.
Naming tips
- Use lowercase and a consistent naming scheme: analytics treats Flyer and flyer as different values.
- Set source to the placement, such as flyer or table-tent.
- Use content for A/B variants.
- Keep values short; longer links make denser codes.
Questions, answered
What is a UTM QR code?
A normal QR code whose link carries UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign…). When someone scans it, your analytics tool records the visit with those labels, so you can tell QR scans apart from other traffic.
Does this make the code dynamic or add tracking by itself?
No. The code is static and BestQR does not track scans. Tracking happens in your own analytics tool, which reads the UTM parameters on the page the code opens.
What values should I use?
A common pattern is source = where it is printed (flyer, menu, window), medium = qr or print, and campaign = the promotion name. Keep names lowercase and consistent, because analytics treats Flyer and flyer as different values.
Does a longer link make the QR code harder to scan?
Yes, tags add characters and make the code denser. Keep values short and print the code a little larger, or check it with the health report.
Are my links uploaded?
No. Everything is built in your browser.
