Tags that get your things back
- Do not print your home address. A call, an email or a contact page is enough.
- Laminate or use waterproof sticker paper — tags live in rain and pockets.
- Test the printed tag from the finder's side with a phone you did not use to make it.
- For pets, add a physical phone number too; some people will not scan.

Questions, answered
How does a QR lost and found tag work?
Anyone with a phone camera can scan it. Depending on your choice, it starts a call to you, writes an email to you or opens a page you control. No app is needed.
Is it safe to put my phone number on a tag?
The number is stored in the code, not printed, unless you tick the option. If privacy matters, use “Open a page” with a simple contact page, or an email address you do not mind sharing.
Which size should I use?
A luggage tag of 100 × 60 mm is easy to scan. A key tag or a 32 mm round pet tag works for small things, but keep the printed code at 20 mm or more.
How do I make it last?
Print on waterproof sticker or tag material, or laminate the paper. Check the code from a small distance after lamination, since glare can interfere.
Does it need an account or expire?
No. It is a static code. As long as the phone number, email or page is valid, it works.
